Academic Excellence Guidelines

Academic Excellence begins with the beginning of third grade and continuing through the high school.
Pins will be awarded on an annual basis to each individual that has qualified for Academic Excellence.
Individuals qualifying for Academic Excellence during any grading period will be eligible to attend the Academic Excellence Banquet.
Individuals will have their names placed on bulletin boards or outside their classrooms for each grading period they qualify for Academic Excellence.
A student must have an accumulated average of 93 or above in each subject to be eligible for Academic Excellence.*
Students placed in Alternative School will not be eligible for Academic Excellence while place in Alternative School.
Only Academic Classes will be counted towards Academic Excellence.
*An accumulated average for each grading period can be determined by a points system. In order for a student to qualify for Academic Excellence they must have the following points:
The 1st six weeks the student must have at least 93 points in each subject.
The 2nd six weeks the student must have at least 185 points in each subject.
The 3rd six weeks the student must have at least 278 points in each subject.
The 4th six weeks the student must have at least 370 points in each subject.
The 5th six weeks the student must have at least 463 points in each subject.
Points can be determined by adding the grades in a particular subject for each six weeks grading period.
